Innovative approach to effective HR case management

Employee Relations teams face a range of issues day in day out, from routine requests for information, applications for flexible working hours, to the pricklier topics of Grievance or Disciplinary casework. Keeping track of all this is no mean feat. East Kent Human Resources (EKHR) is a shared services HR team serving three councils and a housing ALMO*. Established in 2010, it is an innovative response to these challenges.

EKHR selected Workpro HR case management software to allow them to progress, monitor and report on ER related casework and store related documents. Workpro will also make life easier for users. The system tracks workload, prioritising tasks and providing prompts and reminders. This enables ER specialists to multi-task across a number of cases safe in the knowledge that they are on the ball, working on what needs their attention now, with an overview of what’s coming up next and when.

Workpro is used to send and receive all communications so that case related letters, e-mails and files are stored together. With appropriate access rights, staff can also take over colleagues’ cases, providing ongoing service when a colleague is on leave.
